That’s a good question. Its a very good opportunity to interact with school kids and share our knowledge. Kids has highest lateral thinking ability and creative ideas so interacting with them gives us a chance to know ourself and how much we can make our concepts simple so that can understand. As Einstein said “You do not really understand something unless you can explain it to your grandmother.” which is always true.

Hi there, I’m a scientist is a great opportunity to chat to the boys and girls about my exciting work and life as a scientist. It is also great to hear what your Qs are. Remember that you boys and girls are the future of Ireland and of course Science and it is very important to encourage you all and try to answer any of the Qs that I can ?

I wanted the chance to talk about my work, and about science.

I love that you are all curious about science, and I’d love you to get an idea of how it works, and what are the Big Questions that scientists still don’t know enough about.

Sometimes it only takes one person to make a difference on how you see something! If I can encourage just one student to just consider a career in science then it will have been worth it (but obviously if I can encourage more that would be better!).
