      Cancer is kind a diseases, it has potential to sustain in wired conditions. It self manipulates and divided as per the needs of the environments , it also has potential to invade other organs and infect them.

      I am not a biologist , I hope its true upto my knowledge.

      Mostly because each time someone gets cancer, it’s a little different from anyone else’s cancer. And the same medicines might not work.

      If you get breast cancer it’s different from liver cancer, which is different from brain cancer. There isn’t really one medicine that works for every type.

      The other problem is that in cancer, it is your own cells that go wrong! So if you want to kill those cells with a medicine, it will also kill your normal healthy cells. So it’s been very difficult for scientists and doctors to find a medicine that only kills cancer cells and doesn’t make you sick in other ways.

      Yes some cancers are curable and this is due to lots of great research work.
      Sometimes a cancer might be cured in one person and not in another and this can be due to other reasons other than thee type of cancer.
      More and more cancers are cured today than 5 years ago and this is due to research and medicine.
      Does this answer your question?

      It is a very difficult question to answer… because:
      – there are many forms of cancers, with some being considered as rare;
      – current treatment may not be adequate;
      – maybe, for commercial reason;
      – not enough research being done.

      It is normal to ask the question and that’s one of the difficult question to answer.
      I sincerely hope there will be a cure soon.

      Scientists are always researching new treatments and cures for diseases. Like the other scientists have said cancer is tricky because there are so many different types of cancer. It can affect different parts of the body and can be different from one person to another.

      Cancer means that a persons cells (not all of them just the ones in one area usually) have lost their ability to stop dividing and this causes a growth or tumour to grow which is made up of the group of uncontrolled cells.

      Tumours can be benign or can be malignant. Benign tumours aren’t cancerous. They can often be removed, and, in most cases, they do not come back. Cells in benign tumours do not spread to other parts of the body.

      Malignant tumours are cancerous and are made up of cells that grow out of control. Cells in these tumours can invade nearby tissues and spread to other parts of the body. Sometimes cells move away from the original (primary) cancer site and spread to other organs and bones where they can continue to grow and form another tumour at that site. This is known as metastasis or secondary cancer. Metastases keep the name of the original cancer location. e.g. pancreatic cancer that has spread to the liver is still called pancreatic cancer.

      Hopefully with more research we will someday be able to treat and cure all the different types of cancer but we’re going to need many more scientists to keep researching until then!
