• Question: how long do you work for?

      It depends. Somedays I start at 8am and finish at 4pm. Other days I start in the morning and finish the following morning- yes I work all night- without any ZZZZZZ’s

      I mostly try to work from 9am until 5pm but sometimes that doesn’t work out so well, sometimes if you have an experiment running you have to stay and keep an eye on it until it’s done so that can mean working until really late.

      I share an office with some other students so someone will always wake you up if you nod off 😉

      I work normal hours, but even when I’m at home in the evening or weekends I’m thinking about what I’m going to do next, or even sitting at my home computer trying something out.

      Sometimes when things are really busy I’m in work very early, and leave very late. I try not to do that, cause it’s bad for you!

      The simple answer is ” It depends”.. Depends on many parameters..

      There are days I worked late nights and sometimes I have returned very soon aswel. So it depends on experiment length, analysis time, your mood, Health … etc.

      I am pretty flexible in the work I do… It is typically from 8:30am to 5pm. Sometimes I have to work over time to finish few things.
